Border Crossings

From Livingstone we went via van, boat, van, plane to our tented camp in Botswana. The border crossing alone was an experience. From the look of things and from what our driver told us, people wait for days in line to cross the border with merchandise to sell. The lines were perhaps a mile or more in length. Locals were selling firewood and produce along the route for the truckdrivers so they could cook dinner on the roadside.
At one point we were on the crossroads of four countries: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. We didn't have visas for the Zimbabwe, but on our transfer from boat to van, Steve and the boys ran quickly to Zimbabwe and back.
